Q: How many doors can this controller control.
A: 2 Doors
If using traditional Wiegand reader for entry and Press To Exit for exiting.
There are 2x Reader inputs, 2x PTE inputs, 2x MSG inputs (Door / Break Glass monitoring) and 2x Relay Outputs
2 Doors will be used if using as Read IN / OUT
Q: What type is the output
A: The output is 4 Amp Relay.
Wiring diagrams as standard show 12V DC from the power supply connected through the relay to door lock (Fail safe or secure). The Relay can also be used for direct termination with no power for Automatic Doors, Gates etc.
Q: Does it come with a power supply
A: We quote ORC-ACB-EP-S (8x 1A 12V DC power supply) You can add ORC-B17 battery
Q: Can this work on RS485
A: No, it is an TCP/IP controller only.
Q: Is the controller PoE
A: No this controller is not
Access control typically requires long battery back up, which is not recommended from UPS / PoE.
Q: Can we install our own Wiegand Reader.
A: This may be possible Wiegand 26 Bit.
